I’d like to remove these 2 products from our install of Office but have been unsuccessful in finding a working silent install method – tried different MSP etc. You can use the office confifuration tool. The key is the ‘excludeapp’ if you add this to your xml i would assume it wouldn’t install it in first place. You will need to exclude as above but just uninstalling can be tricky as I have not been able to do that. Maybe tulioarends can help. The cleanest way to do this is to completely remove your current install and proceed with a new one with the apps excluded.

Funnily enough, that’s the painful conclusion I’m coming too as well through testing – I can’t edit what’s there but I can uninstall and reinstall from scratch, just need to refine installed components as edited MSP excluding OneNote and Lync doesn’t seem to work -will try editing the config next.
